Welcome to The Bill Lamb Volunteer Award Application!

Bill Lamb, BS, RRT, FAARC

This award is dedicated to the memory of Bill Lamb, a true mentor in the profession of respiratory care. Bill had an exceptional career in the field for over 30 years. He served as Delegate to the AARC for the state of Missouri and was instrumental in the establishment of licensure for Missouri respiratory care practitioners. Bill held several roles in the AARC House of Delegates and finished his career with a seat on the AARC Board of Directors as Speaker/Past Speaker of the House of Delegates and Director at Large. Bill gave above and beyond the service of excellence by mentoring others and inspired numerous therapists who are leading our profession today.

Eligibility Criteria
  • Must be a member of good standing in the AARC
  • Volunteers to serve as an Advocate for the Profession
  • Volunteers to Mentor/Precepts others
  • Participates in Public Awareness
  • Essay 350-800 words which includes a story of the individual who goes above and beyond volunteering, mentoring and precepting others in several different areas. The untold story of a therapist who makes a difference behind the scenes, other than what (s)he is paid to do as part of their job.
Nomination Process
  • A nomination should be approved by the state affiliate and signed by the President and Delegate.
  • Only one nomination per state affiliate will be accepted. More than one state affiliate can nominate the same individual.
  • Nominations will be reviewed by the HOD Special Recognition Committee, and recommendations made to and voted on by the House of Delegates at the Summer Meeting.
  • All nominations must be completed by the published calendar deadline.
  • A current CV or resume should accompany the nomination.
  • The Bill Lamb Award winner will be notified after the House of Delegates Summer Meeting.
