Welcome to the AARC Honorary Membership Award!

The Honorary Membership Award recognizes an individual who has made special achievements, performance, or contributions to the AARC, its affiliates, the NBRC, ARCF, or the profession of respiratory care.

The House of Delegates provides the name of one individual who exemplifies these exceptional characteristics to the AARC President's Council. The AARC President's Council makes the final decision on the awarding of the Honorary Membership.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Have been active in AARC affairs for a period of at least ten (10) years or worked in a field related to the goals of the Association for at least ten (10) years.
  • Otherwise, be eligible for associate membership in the AARC at the time of consideration.
  • Have made a special achievement or contribution to the AARC, its affiliates, or the profession of respiratory care.

Nominations

  • The following documentation will need to be submitted for all nominations:
    • A letter of nomination that describes the nominee's service to the AARC, the respiratory care profession, or work in a related field that supports the goals of the AARC.
    • The nomination letter must be signed by both the affiliate state president and one delegate.
    • A current curriculum vitae or resume.
  • All letters of nomination and CVs must be received by the published calendar deadline
  • Only one nomination per state will be accepted.
